Barbara Visser: Alreadymade

As part of the exhibition The Fountain Show at De Garage, you can visit Filmhuis Mechelen on June 3, for the film Alreadymade by Barbara Visser.

Perhaps the most iconic and influential (and certainly the most notorious and controversial) work of art of the twentieth century is Marcel Duchamp’s urinal: a urinal from a sanitary ware shop with a signature on it. In ‘Alreadymade’, Barbara Visser not only delves into the history of the famous urinal, but also tackles the many questions that the case raises.
