Wim de Pauw, Double You I Am Was

Double You I Am Was is a lecture performance that sets out on a speculative journey in an attempt to situate the (object) voice. As the first of four acts, it marks a rite of passage in which one authorial voice transitions into an Other.

The structure of looking is a story about coughing. In a time where coughing begets coughing, the protagonist loses her capacity for speech. In her mute irritation she sees society disappearing before her eyes.
