The Fountain Songs
02.jun.24, 15:00

The Choir for those who can’t necessarily sing well’ — well-known in Mechelen — is being inspired by the exhibition The Fountain Show at Kunsthal Mechelen. Directed by Annick Bocklandt with Jo Wils, Eric David, Yves Kennis and Victor De Lauw.

Do you think you can’t sing? Or do you only sing in the shower? Then this is your moment. In the choir for people who don’t necessarily know how to sing, everyone is welcome. No music theory, no auditions, no shame. Just a screen with lyrics, a live band, and the freedom to sing along loudly to the greatest hits of past and present.

A simple and accessible concept. A joyful sing-along for anyone who loves belting out hits from way back in the day to today. A choir where you’re encouraged to sing along as loudly and as off-key as you like, without embarrassment, to your favourite songs. A drop-in choir: you show up, the band plays, you follow the lyrics on the screen, and you sing along. It’s all about the pleasure of singing, and above all, singing together.
