Kunsthal Mechelen is looking for an intern to further develop and structure our archives.

Within this internship you'll be thinking with us towards the archival policy of Kunsthal Mechelen. What do we keep? How can we store this in a sustainable and accessible way? And how should we work within spacial restraints? You'll be mapping and inventarising the current archive and help develop a broader archival vision. You'll also help shape our digital archive and support the implementation.

Do you need a longer internship or are you looking for more challenges? Then you can also work on our bookshop, organize a booksale or work on our website.

During the internship you'll mostly be working in Dutch. English is an added value.

The internship will run from the end of October until the end of November of 2026. A longer period is possible, depending on the amount of hours that need to be fulfilled and the other tasks taken.

This internship can only be followed in the framework of an obligated internship as part of a course and will be processed through your educational institution. This internship is unpaid.

Kunsthal Mechelen is an open and generous house for contemporary art. We mainly organize exhibitions and develop art in public space.

You'll be working in a small team in which everyone takes up multiple roles.
